Deathstalker (1983)
The story revolves around a king who lost his castle to his own magician .. who turned evil under his reign.
When the movie opens, we find that the magician, Munkar, is holding a contest to crown a champion, who will rule the kingdom when his time ends.
Valker (The Deathstalker) is recruited by the King to defeat Munkar and return control of the castle. His response: "Heros and fools are the same thing."
Valker learns that Munkar is holding the king's daughter, Codille (Barbi Benton) hostage, this seems to convince him to enter the contest and defeat the wizard. He meets with a witch, who tells him about the source of Munkar's power: an Amulet of Light and a Chalice of Magic.
There is also a Sword of Justice - which Valker procures from Salmaron .. a creature under a curse cast by Munkar 30 years ago.
During the second phase of the contest, Valker must face the pig-headed creature which has defeated every other champion ..
